Matt, Sue, Tegwyn and Fischer are wonderful hosts. From the first moment their hospitality was exceptional. Never met people so open and relaxed. The location and house is fantastic and the views breathtaking. We felt so relaxed that we extended our stay against initial plan. Our three kids enjoyed playing with their kids and we had wonderful conversation with Matt and Sue. Me and my son catched a cold and both were very careful and supporting. We all would have loved to stay longer. Not to forget their excellent cooking skills! This is definitively a place to come down from all rush and get grounded to the real things in life. Hope we can meet again in future. Liebe Gruesse, Mathias, Ronja mit Talisa, Tamea und Vincent

We loved the Eco Pods! we really enjoyed getting away from it all, sitting on the deck and relaxing on the evening with a stunning view and watching the stars at night Matt and Sue were very welcoming, their home is amazing, I love what they have built and are creating with an ethical ethos. The composting toilet and shower room were immaculate and done with solid reclaimed/recycled materials which made it quirky and cool. The area is well located for the one and some activities, though we mostly relaxed and enjoyed a more chilled pace.

Matt, Sue, Tegwyn and Fischer are fantastic hosts, their hospitality was exceptional. Awesome people, very passionate and a good craic. The rooms are fantastic, bathroom and toilet are unreal. The main house where my mother was very kindly put up is also really good and very interesting. An inspirational living area. The main bathroom needs to be seen to be believed, and the firemans pole from the upstairs lounge down to the dining room... Dinner was excellent, the conversations were great. I thoroughly recommend "The Center of the Umaverse" to anyone passing through, and look forward to visiting again in the future. Cheers guys.

Matt and Sue are fantastic hosts! They have built up a really peaceful and relaxing hideaway in the middle of Northland (Center of the Umaverse). It's fantastic to wake up to the sound of birds chirping and a wonderful view from the cabin. The bed in the cabin was comfortable and clean. The self composting toilet is very well designed and very clean. The main house itself is very spacious and has some amazing carvings and furniture in them. Really enjoyed the conversations with both Matt and Sue. Learnt a lot about sustainability, and being self-sufficient. There was also a big projector which was perfect for watching the All Blacks beat the Wallabies :) Will definitely be back again the next time I'm in the area.
